We are pleased to announce that our annual Summer Symposium will be hybrid for 2022! This year you will notice we have structured the Symposium as a series of instructional modules, experiences, and events—allowing you to register for as few or as many as you wish. Those registering for all events in the series will receive a discounted rate. All times are Hawaii Standard Time (HST). Below you will find a description of each event followed by ticketing and registration information.
Intro to p4c Hawaii | |||
July 18-21th | 10am-12:30pm | $250 Participants will actively engage in 4 sessions that introduce the theory and practice of p4c Hawaii:

Model School Visits |

August 16-18th | 8am-4pm | $1000 Participants will visit local schools to experience p4c Hawaii in K-12 classrooms. This is an in person module only available to those who have completed the Intro to p4cHI module in 2022 or a previous year. Limited seats available. |

Good Thinker's Tool Kit (GTTK) |

August 22nd | 10am-12:30pm | $50 Participants will be provided with a broad overview of the p4c Hawaii Good Thinker's Toolkit (GTTK). They will learn about the historical and pedagogical contexts that led Dr. Thomas Jackson to develop the GTTK. Participants will then examine the GTTK in more depth. They will learn more about the individual tools and how to practically use them in order to help students to think more deeply. |

Reflection and Assessment |

August 30th | 10am-12pm | $50 Participants will be introduced to the many reflection and assessment tools used by p4c Hawaii educators and have an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities of evaluating p4c Hawaii. |

September 10th | 10am-1pm | $75 Participants will learn about the ways that p4cHI pedagogy is being applied in different contexts and will have an opportunity to talk with p4c Hawaii teachers, researchers and other practitioners. |
